CNF Rear Geometry
Denim Material Properties for CNF
Material property catalog for denim simulations: weave, stiffness, stretch, tensile modulus, and tension parameters.
Property Catalog
| Property | Range / Value | Role in CNF |
|---|---|---|
| Weave | 3x1, 2x1, twill, broken twill | Base anisotropy for cloth simulation |
| Stiffness (bending) | 0.02–0.15 N·m | Controls drape and yoke stability |
| Stretch % | 1–8% | Influences ease recommendations |
| Tensile modulus | 0.5–2.5 GPa | Distance-field tolerance |
| Recovery | 60–95% | Seam rebound in dynamic fit |
| Thickness | 10–14 oz/yd² | Rise curve and projection support |
Tension Modifiers
Material properties enter the tension equation as modifiers:
T_adj = T_base · (1 + f(stiffness, stretch, weave))
This allows the same geometry to be evaluated across 12 wt. oz., 14 wt. oz., and stretch denim variants without re-scanning.
